and get a free iPad 2 (While Supplies Last)
Think about the value of having real time
access to your most important business data from
your mobile phone - and viewing that information
in a graphical format that is optimized for
display on the small screen. No need to carry
the bulky laptop with you while you are on the
road. No more accessing information on your
company Intranet that's only formatted for a
full screen - no clumsy scrolling or viewing
unreadable data. That's just part of the power
of Invensys SmartGlance.
SmartGlance™ provides On-demand and Real-time
access to continually changing corporate data,
reports and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
via mobile smart phones. In addition,
SmartGlance also provides analysis tools on the
mobile phone so that you can make smart
decisions even when you are on the road.
SmartGlance displays data in a rich graphical
format optimized for the small screen of a
mobile phone. Because SmartGlance has been
developed as a native application on your phone,
it utilizes the same familiar functionality as
your smart phone without having to learn a new
interface. SmartGlance connects your mobile
phone with Wonderware Data Sources along with
other corporate data sources. Virtually any
electronic data that is delivered to your
desktop can be transformed into a graphical
report for real time viewing on your mobile
smart phone. No limit to number of reports or
number of rows in a report.
You choose which reports you want and view them
as tables, pie charts, bar charts, line graphs,
or other formats. SmartGlance displays your
information in a graphical format optimized for
the small screen of your mobile phone without
having to scroll left and right to view the
entire report. Simply swipe the screen to view
the next report.
Connecting to your Data
The Wonderware Mobile Reporting
Connector provides report
configuration, formatting and data connectivity
services to SmartGlance. Wonderware Historian
data is supported along with data from any
ADO.NET compatible data source for enhanced data
access to third party data
sources/systems. Data security features are
built-in and the connector allows easy browsing
and selection of data tags for SmartGlance
reports from multiple Historians – no special
SQL queries are needed saving valuable IT
resources. The connectivity is robust with
“Store and Forward” functionality built-in to
ensure that only complete reports are sent to
your smart phone.
Administration of users and user groups is also
included enabling specific users or user groups
to receive only the reports related to their job
function.
The cloud-based SmartGlance SaaS Business Report
Generator then manages the secure delivery of
the prepared reports to authorized mobile
devices for real-time data review and analysis.
The new Wonderware Mobile Reporting Connector
provides:
- Native support for Wonderware Historian V9.0
and V10.0
- Custom Ad-Hoc SQL Query support for
Wonderware MES, Wonderware Intelligence,
Wonderware Corporate Energy Management (CEM) or
other Microsoft SQL based databases

Connector is installed behind your own firewall.
You will use your own hardware and we will offer
SmartGlance service as a traditional enterprise
software package allowing you to expand your
reports and data into a cutting edge mobile
solution delivered directly to any smartphone.
This architecture has two major benefits - (1)
Peace of mind (2) Single login/password
Since the SmartGlance server is setup within
your own premises, you do not have to worry
about security at all. Your company's standard
security mechanisms including firewalls will
apply. Also, it gives you full control over the
data. Overall, you have the peace of mind that

Why do
Customers Choose Wonderware?
Bermuda Electric - Sole Electric
Provider for Bermuda
Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited (BELCO)
is Bermuda's sole supplier of electricity,
operating a generating plant and transmission
and distribution systems throughout the Island.
BELCO’s Mission is to provide a secure, reliable
and sustainable electric power system for the
people of Bermuda.

In 1904, the Bermuda Electric Light, Power &
Traction Company (B.E.L.P.&T.), BELCO was known
as then, was incorporated. The Company purchased
its present site on Serpentine Road in 1909 and
moved its operations there. On May 1 1908,
B.E.L.P.&T. started with the supply of electric
current. Since that time, BELCO has worked
hard to fulfill its mission by continually
re-investing in and expanding its ability to
service the people of Bermuda.
On May 5, 2005, BELCO completed the 20-year
development of the East Power Station,
officially bringing the last of eight new
engines online. At the same time, the Company
began working on a new integrated resources plan
for the next 20 years, taking into account the
Island's development and emerging issues,
including renewable energy and sustainable
development. As Bermuda continues to grow and
prosper, BELCO has grown to keep pace with
Bermuda's growing demand for electricity. BELCO
encourages residential and commercial customers
to be energy efficient, but even with increased
conservation efforts, development across the
Island means that BELCO will need to increase
plant capacity by 2011.
- Maximum capacity 165 megawatts
- Individual
engine capacity between 4.5 and 14.5 megawatts
-
730 million KW Hours
- 35,668 metered
connections
Wonderware North and Invensys Operations
Management have been proud to partner with BELCO
over the years to provide them the technology
and support needed to help them meet their
goals. View the

Xcellerex - Revolutionizing
Biomanufacturing
The biotherapeutic and vaccine markets are
undergoing enormous growth and change. More than
500 products, including therapeutic proteins,
monoclonal antibodies, and vaccines are in
clinical development and approximately 100 are
on the market today. The traditional
biomanufacturing models — fixed, dedicated
facilities and outsourced, contract
manufacturing (CMO) — have become development
and commercial barriers. For the growing number
of biomolecules aimed at specific subpopulations
within a disease class, traditional
manufacturing economics will not yield
acceptable returns-on-investment. In addition,
for many companies that have not pursued
biomolecules to date, manufacturing expertise
represents a major barrier to entry.
A traditional commercial manufacturing facility
for a single product requires an investment of
$100-$300 million and three to five years for
construction and validation of its systems. Much
of the cost is due to the infrastructure to
maintain sterile conditions in reaction vessels
and large scale environmental controls to
maintain air quality in manufacturing suites. In
addition, the long lead time required to build a
new facility increases development risk because
manufacturing capacity decisions must be made
early, well before it is known whether a product
will succeed in the clinic and reach the
marketplace.
Xcellerex is commercializing a highly innovative
manufacturing technology platform, based on
proprietary, single-use bioprocess systems
technology that drastically improves the overall
economics of biomolecule development. The
platform is built around the FlexFactory™, the
first, complete turnkey, modular production
train which includes the XDR™ disposable
bioreactor system with demonstrated performance
comparable to traditional stainless systems up
to 2,000 liters. FlexFactory™ combines the
sophisticated control and process capability of
traditional manufacturing with the simplicity of
Xcellerex's novel disposable platform and
capabilities.
Xcellerex is built around a unique
biomanufacturing platform that features the
innovative application of single-use component
technology. The Xcellerex platform transforms
biomanufacturing economics by enabling:
- Faster deployment of new manufacturing
capacity: 12-18 months vs. 3-5 years.
- Reduced capital investment: Typical savings
of 50% to 70% compared to conventional
approaches.
- Unmatched flexibility: Modular
microenvironment approach enables fast, low-cost
redeployment for multi-drug production.
The Xcellerex technology platform allows
manufacturing capacity to be deployed rapidly,
flexibly and at greatly reduced cost compared
with conventional technology. For example, fully
integrated manufacturing capacity can be
established within one year vs. three-to-five
years at a capital reduction of 50 percent to 75
percent compared with traditional facilities.
This results in huge implementation savings and
the ability to begin producing high value
product 2 to 4 years sooner than when leveraging
a traditional system. To accomplish this,
Xcellerex uses patented process equipment along
with Wonderware’s InBatch Software and highly
scalable and flexible supervisory system based
on the Wonderware System Platform.
