Maintenance typically accounts for up to 18 - 40% of cost of
goods sold, and is one of the final frontiers to be optimized in the quest for
efficiency.....Learn why leading Fortune 100
manufacturing & process companies have selected Mtelligence to improve return on
assets and profitability.
Past efforts at improving asset performance and reducing
maintenance cost have either focused on specific condition monitoring
applications, such as vibration monitoring, or specific reliability techniques,
such as reliability centered maintenance, using separate tools and models. The
problem with this approach is that reliability and condition monitoring cannot
effectively be done in a vacuum – they are part of the overall solution.
What is required is a new type of solution, which providers “maintenance
intelligence”. One of its goals is doing maintenance on the right equipment at
the right time, a tenant of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM). But it factors in
the cost of maintenance, and the cost of failure. The problem with doing CBM
alone is that you don’t know which CBM alarms to prioritize with emergency
break-in maintenance. Similarly, when Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is
done without CBM, it results in excessive human inspections of equipment, when
automated condition monitoring could have provided 24/7 surveillance.
Mtelligence delivers greater visibility and greater returns on asset performance
through our Reliability Intelligence™ platform. Mtelligence solutions enable
customers to maintain the right equipment at the right time, leveraging
real-time plant data to prioritize and optimize maintenance resources. The
company is a recognized thought leader in Open O&M and MIMOSA open standards,
breaking down barriers to reliability by connecting plant and business, enabling
increased availability, improved coordination between operations and
maintenance, and reduced maintenance costs.
Mtelligence delivers significant improvements in uptime, reliability, and
efficiency through our maintenance intelligence platform, including MIMOSA
Interop Server™ and Mtelligence EAM™ Adapter Family.
Mtelligence breaks down what Gartner calls the barrier between Operations Technology (OT) and IT, combining information from several sources in order to determine the state of equipment and the best maintenance strategy. The Mtelligence Suite of products works seamlessly with most existing EAM/CMMS systems to provide the industry’s leading integrated solution for enabling maintenance strategy optimization via RCM, and condition monitoring for detectable failure modes via CBM.
